We have developed and are producing system of machines under the trade mark Fotorobot.cz, automatically moving the photographed object and camera, in order to get series of images from pre-defined angles.

Robotic machines and camera are controlled by our special software named Basip which enables to control the whole process directly from the PC. Licence for this SW is already included in the price of robots. The output of robotized photographing is a serie of images in your computer (in RAW and/or JPG) suitable to be converted into photo-3D. (Photo-3D consists of shots of the object surface. Therefore, it shows the object in a realistic way – it is no computer-made 3D model).

FOTOROBOT.CZ MACHINES

There are several Fotorobot.cz machines which can be used separately or can work together – more complicated photo tasks can be solved by synchronized-working machines. Types of robotic machines cover all the current needs of photographing. Small and glossy objects as jewellery, glass, watches, mobile phones, wine bottles, middle-sized objects as computers, consumer goods, fashion, up to large objects as bicycles, refrigerators, furniture, vehicles, industrial machines, and even live models presenting fashion.

360 DEGREE SPIN

5 robotic machines – Robotic Turntable, Centreless Table, Turning Platform, Cube and Carousel
are designed for photographing of objects alongside the vertical axis.

3D SPIN

3 machines – Robotic Arm, Vario and Vario XL – are used for photographing alongside the horizontal axis (top view).

One of the biggest advantages of Fotorobot.cz system is modularity.
It is not necessary to equip the studio with the whole system, but only with the machines
covering your range of the photographed objects.

OBJECT CENTERING

When taking pictures from various angles aiming to get photo-3D, it is extremely important to locate the photographed object in the centre of rotation. For this, positioning lasers are used with our Fotorobot.cz machines.

SHOOTING SPEED

Photographing itself is very fast – 1 shot every 3-4 seconds. Any speed lowering, however, can be set up if wished.  Even if long exposure times are needed (so you will have no problem to take pictures of burning candle), or to give enough time to the waggling objects to stop down before taking the next shot.

HARDWARE CONTROL

Each robotic machine consists of 2 parts:
Machine itself and the Control Unit (Black-Box).

There are 2 advantages of this:

FIRST

The Control Unit bears all the burden of computing performance, while not lowering the capacity of your computer or even jamming your computer interface (USB). (Therefore, any cheap notebook can be used with Fotorobot.cz system).

SECOND

In case of unexpected accidents in your studio (e. g. controlling part is hit by fork-lift, falls to the floor…) it is very easy to send the spare Control Unit all over the world by courier. The rest – the machine itself – is of very robust and simple construction, to minimize the danger of any damage on this site.

BASIP CONTROLLING SOFTWARE

Basip works on a PC base. However, it is possible to set it up for working with Mac as well. It supports all the cameras currently used by the professionals. For particular models, please have a look into our Catalogue, pages 43-44). The number of images, angles of photographing and speed can be set up as per your wish directly in Basip.
After having series of images in your computer, it is possible to use them for any purpose you wish – but to convert them into photo-3D presentation is the best way how to utilize them.
